Kitara FC unveil Kiggundu, Bukenya as latest signings

Kitara FC have officially unveiled new signings Arthur Kiggundu and Lawrence Bukenya as earlier reported.

Kiggundu joins Kitara on a one and half year contract from Express FC while Bukenya signed a contract of six months from Wakiso Giants.

Kiggundu is expected to boost the club’s defense while Bukenya, who was named in the Best XI of last season, is expected to strengthen the midfield.

Besides Express, Kiggundu previously featured Proline, Simba, SC Villa and Tooro United.

Bukenya is a KCCA Soccer Academy graduate who previously featured for KCCA before joining Wakiso Giants.

The pair was unveiled alongside the club’s head coach Brian Senyondo who lauded their acquisition as he expects them to add leadership and experience into the squad.

” We have signed two very accomplished players who have secured titles at their previous clubs, bringing leadership and experience to the team.” Senyondo said via the club’s website.

“We have been eyeing both players for a while and are thrilled to bring them on board as we continue to grow and work towards achieving our season goals.” he added.

Kitara currently sit third on the table with 29 points from the first 15 games played.
