Kyetume extend contracts of Buyala and Obua

As the transfer window was closed down last night, FUFA Big League side Kyetume FC awarded new contracts to Emmanuel Obua and Baker Buyala

The duo were awarded contract extensions of one year each by the Mukono based side.

Obua is a left back who joined the Slaughters two seasons ago from Bukedea Town Council ( now Blacks Power) in 2019.

He had limited playing time in the first season with Richard Matovu preferred in the startingeleven. He was also deterred by recurrent injuries In the 2021/22 season.

Forward Baker Buyala scored three goals for the club last season, he has previously played for Soana FC ( now Tooro United) and Bugerere in the Airtel Masaza Cup tournament.

The club also signed left back Dan Birikwalira from Arua Hill SC, goalkeeper Jamal Malyamungu and midfielder Emmanuel Kalyowa.

The club will be under David Katono Mutono and Stephen Billy Kiggundu as the goalkeeping coach who are expected to steer the team back to the top flight.

The 2021/22 FUFA Big League season is expected to tentatively kick off on 21st October
