Arua Hill 2-0 Busoga United

Striker Alfred Leku proved to be the difference once again as Arua Hill completed a double over Busoga United with a 2-0 win in Barifa.

Leku came into the game with six match goalless streak but scored two goals in the second half to settle the encounter.

Following a barren and dull first half, the gigantic striker broke the deadlock in the 69th minute following a routine Ibrahim Thembo throw in.

He then made it 2-0 from close range in the first of the four added minutes after goalkeeper Andrew Ssekandi spilled the ball in his way.

The double took Leku’s season tally to 10 goals.

It should be noted the Leku was also the scorer of the lone goal when both sides met in the first round.

The 2-0 win put an end to Arua Hill’s four match drawing streak and now move 5th with 43 points same as 4th placed URA FC who have a better goal difference.

Busoga United are now 12th with 26 points and can slip to the relegation zone if Soltilo Bright and Police win their respective matches this week.

Busoga will host Wakiso Giants on Monday 2nd May while Arua Hill will host Mbarara City on May 1st.
