Lugave eject Mmamba on penalties as Ffumbe see off Mpindi to reach semis

Despite a spirited 2-1 victory over LugaveMmamba Namakaka failed to reach the semi finals of the Bika Byabaganda football tournament following a 5-4 defeat in spot kicks.

Gideon Kigonya and Ronald Nkugwa scored the two goals for Mmamba Namakaka while Lugave’s goal was scored by Bashir Mutanda from the spot.

The 2-1 victory took the aggregate score to 2-2 and Lugave kicked out the record champions 5-4 in spot kicks.

Ffumbe managed a 1-0 victory over Mpindi thanks to Arafat Kakonge for the sole goal.

The first leg had ended 5-1 in favor of Ffumbe and they progressed to the semi finals on a 6-1 aggregate.

At Kawanda SS, Kkobe and Ngeye played to a goalless draw, Kkobe that had won the first leg 1-0 progressed to the semi finals.

Nte lost to Ndiga 2-0 in the second leg. The winning goals for Ndiga clan were scored by Dan Sserunkuma and George Ssenkaba.

Ndiga automatically progressed to the semi finals on 3-0 aggregate, they had won the first leg 1-0.

Ndiga, Ffumbe, Kkobe and Lugave are the four teams that progressed to the semi finals.

The first leg of the semi finals will be played on Monday 15th-August at Mutesa II Stadium Wankulukuku.

Ndiga will play against Ffumbe at 2pm before Kkobe face off with Lugave at 4:00pm
