Luzzi dissatisfied with FUFA ruling to launch Appeal


Last week, the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Committee banned three officials from football activities.

Abraham Luzzi one of the officials banned has expressed his dissatisfaction with the ruling

Luzzi through his lawyer TM Kayemba Advocates, has written to FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Committee Chairman Ruta Darius requesting for the record of the grounds and reasoning of the entire decision in Ethics.

Take a notice that our client Mr Abraham Luzzi being dissatisfied with the decision of the Adjudicatory chamber made on the 21st March 2022 at Mengo intends to appeal the entire decision.

“This is therefore to request for information to add our client in the formulation of the grounds of appeal listed below.

•Copy of the grounds and hearing of the entire decision

•Record of proceedings
•Notice of the hearing
•Name and player’s testimony dated January 25 2022
•Written evidence of recording of our client’s request to the alleged player to concede eight goals and a red card against Five Stars FC
•Copy of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code
•Copy of the FUFA’s Zero tolerance policy
•Sanctioning grid, if any
•Any other information.

Luzzi was banned for ten (10) years from taking by part in any kind of football activities at National and International level.

Luzzi breached Articles 27, 31 and 44 of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code all related to the manipulation of football matches and Competitions, failure to report and breach of General duties of conduct.  James Kaweesa was banned 15 years while David Isabirye will serve a two years ban.
