Lwakataka confident of clinching third championship

Two time National Rally champion Ponsiano Lwakataka is confident that he will clinch a third Championship this year.

Lwakataka won the 2022 Kaliro Sugar EMC Rally and also clinched the season’s opener the Lake Mburo Rukaari Rally in January.

“I am very confident that I will scoop my third Championship this year.” After win the opening two events, focus is now on the Pearl of Africa Rally slated for May. I only need to finish in the top three positions in the next rally to keep my dream for a third Championship alive.”

Lwakataka currently leads the NRC standings with 200 points, Aine Sodo is second with 110 points. Fred Busuulwa is third with 80 points while Hassan Alwi is fourth on 70 points.
