Makumbi starts Lugazi era with comeback win over Kiyinda Boys

Richard Makumbi’s Lugazi FC rallied from behind to defeat Kiyinda Boys FC 2-1 at Betharm Recreation grounds in Kiwenda.

Sula Matovu Maluoda had put Kiyinda Boys in the lead from the spot after Ochen committing a foul in the forbidden area.

Ronald Ssempala and Sam Ssemugugu scored Richard Makumbi’s men in the 81st and 87th minutes respectively.

It was Makumbi’s first game in the dug out since his appointment after replacing William Kyeswa.

Lugazi FC currently occupy the fourth position with 14 points four behind leaders Police FC.

Debutants Kiyinda Boys are struggling down in the relegation zone 13th on a table of 15 teams with eight points.

Kiyinda Boys will make a trip to play Ndejje University next on Sunday 26th at the Arena of Visions.

On Friday 24th November Lugazi FC will play Onduparaka FC at the Lugazi FC Stadium.
