Senegal’s starman Sadio Mane will reportedly miss their opening game against Louis Van Gaal’s Holland on Monday.
The 2022 Ballon D’or runner limped off after 20 minutes during Bayern Munich’s 6-1 win against Werder Bremen last week.
Sky Sports have reported that they have been told by Senegal’s football federation that Mane is expected to miss their first games of the Qatar showpiece.
The African champions are in Group A alongside hosts Qatar, Ecuador and 1974, 1978 and 2010 runners up Holland.
It is uncertain whether the former Liverpool forward will be fit in time for their clash with tournament hosts Qatar on November 25 or Ecuador on November 29.
