Maroons FC unveil 29-man squad for 2022/23 Uganda Premier League season

New league entrants Maroons FC have finally announced their 29 man squad as the new 2022/23 season kick offs.

The squad consists of 12 new signings acquired from the recently concluded primary transfer window.

The new signings include Samson Andrew Kigozi from KCCA FC, Brian Nkuubi from URA FC and Vipers on-loan duo of Lawrence Tezikya and Umaru Kyebatala.

Others are goalkeeper Simon Tamale (from Bright Stars), Jacob Okao and Sula Mpanga (both from Vipers), David Ndihabwe (from Arua Hill), Fred Kigozi, Arafat Kakonge (Police FC), Isaac Mpagi (from Tooro United and Noel Nasasira from Somalia’s Gadiidka FC.

Emmanuel Olinga, Ssali Musa and Bruno Bbosa have all been sidelined due to long term injuries sustained during pre-season.

The Prison Warders will be under the stewardship of Muhamed Ssenfuma who will be deputized by Godfrey Wasswa as his assistant.

They will open the new season with a home fixture against Busoga United on Saturday 1st October at Luzira.
