Following a one week break due to the outbreak of Ebola in the country, the prestigious Masaza Cup tournament resumed over the weekend with the Quarterfinal return legs played at various playgrounds.
This year’s favourites Busiro thrashed record winners Gomba 3-0 in the second leg played at Sentema playground.
Second half goals from Isaac Ofoyrwoth, Jimmy Kalema and Joel Sserunjogi inspired Busiro to victory.
Under the stewardship of Simon Peter Mugerwa, Busiro prevail to the semifinal 5-1 on aggregate.

In the other game, Ssingo and Kyaggwe played out to a goalless stalemate at Mityana Ssaza Grounds.
Two time winners Ssingo cruised to the last four 1-0 on aggregate.
Defending champions Buddu also advanced to the semifinals after a goalless draw at Mawokota. They won the first leg 1-0 at Masaka Recreation grounds two weeks ago.

Last year’s runners up Buwekula were eliminated by two time competition winners Bulemeezi on aggregate 2-1.
Bulemeezi won the first leg at home 1-0 with the return fixture ending in 1-1 stalemate at Kasenyi Playground.
In the second leg, Fazil Tumwine scored for Bulemeezi before Michael Abura levelled matters for Buwekula.
Ssingo and Buddu will renew their rivalry in the semifinal while Busiro will face Bulemeezi.
Meanwhile, the semifinals of the competition are scheduled for the weekend of 9th and 16th October.
