MASAZA CUP : Goalkeeper Nasif Kabuye extends stay at Gomba

Goalkeeper Nasif Kabuye has committed his future at Airtel Masaza Cup record Champions Gomba.

Kabuye was part of Gomba’s triumphant team in 2017, thanks to a Nicholas Kabonge sole goal against Shafiq Bisaso’s Ssingo at the epic final that was played at Mandela National Stadium.

“I am delighted to be part of Gomba for another year and my target is to help the team win a fifth trophy in the history of the competition.” I won the 2017 championship but winning it for another time will be a remarkable achievement in my career.”

He has enough experience in the competition having previously featured at Busujju (2015), Buluri (2016) and Gomba (2017,2018 and 2019).

Kabuye is also a Kampala Junior Team (KJT) player, currently in the Kampala Regional League will battling for a starting place with three time winner Emmanuel Derrick Were.

Gomba signings so far are, Henry Bishop Orom, Nasser Lukwago (right backs), Ponsiano Ssegonjja, Ben Nambokoho (left backs), Abdallah Ssentongo, Joseph Bright Vuni (central defenders), Amuli Mukasa, Hussein Grace Senoga (holding midfielders), Ibrahim “Seven” Kasinde, Bashir Lubinga, Sharif “De Maria” Nsereko (attacking midfielders) as well as forwards Richard Basangwa, Isaac “Falcao” Ogwang and Raymond Walugembe.
