MASAZA CUP : Simon Ddungu dumps Buwekula to land Mawogola job

Simon Ddungu “Dunga” has controversially joined Mawogola as their head coach days after he was appointed by Buwekula management committee in the same role.

At Mawogola, Ddungu will be assisted by Jamada Magaasi and Wilson Kacuucu as the first and second assistant.

“I am very happy to be named as the head coach of Mawogola for this year’s Masaza Cup tournament.”

“I thank Mawogola county chief, team manager and the entire committee for the appointment.” He stated in a statement released by Mawogola.

In 2017, Ddungu guided Gomba to the Masaza Cup glory. He has also previously served at Buddu, Mawokota, Buwekula and Busiro United in the Buganda Region.

Mawogola have never won the competition and will be seeking for their maiden success during the 2020 edition.
