Masaza Cup: Ssekabuza confident Gomba can finish job against Buddu

Gomba Ssaza team head Felix Ssekabuza is confident his charges can finish the job against Buddu when the two sides face off in the Masaza Cup Semifinal return leg on Monday, 9th October at Masaka Recreation ground.

Gomba won the first leg 2-1, courtesy of goals from Kenneth Kimera and Allan Oyirwoth.

“We have prepared well for the game, my players are very ready. Buddu have quality players and we respect them but we aiming at reaching the final and I am confident we shall finish the job.” Said Ssekabuza.

Buddu are targeting a fourth consecutive Masaza Cup final having reached the 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Gomba have previously won the prestigious competition five times while Buddu are two time winners.

Buddu need to beat Gomba by 2-0 unanswered goals to progress while a stalemate will see the record winners advance.

Meanwhile, Bulemeezi will lock horns with three time winners Mawokota in the other Semifinal at Kasana playground in Luweero. The two sides shared spoils in a 1-1 draw at Buwama in the first leg meeting.
