Ex Footballers Association (EFA) President Jackson Mayanja has called for unity and cooperation among former players.
Mayanja was named by former players as the head of the Association earlier this month.
“I am happy that, I was entrusted by my colleagues to serve as the President of the association. It’s time for us to work together with the Federation of Uganda Football Associations to see how we can help retired players.”

” I call upon for unity and cooperation and I am confident that we are to succeeded once we work hand in hand. We have to stop cheap fights and focus on how we can develop the game of football as well as helping each other.”
The KCCA FC and Cranes legend also called upon the government and other stakeholders to also come out and support retired players.
The other members committee members are George Ssimwogerere (Vice President), Gibby Kalule (Secretary) Kefa Kisala (Assistant Secretary), Dan Walusimbi and Dan Ntale (Project Manager), Philip Obwiny (Treasurer), Andy Mwesigwa (Publicity), Umaru Senoga Organising Secretary, Charles Masiko (Welfare).
