Vipers and Mbarara City played out a dull goalless draw at the Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara.
The affair had nothing much to write home about as both sides struggled to gain dominance on the slippery surface of Kakyeka.
The major highlight of the game came in the 5th minute when Paul Patrick Mboowa brought down Henry Kitegenyi who was heading towards goal.
Referee Stephen Kimayo issued a yellow card to Mboowa despite being Vipers’ last defender and gave Mbarara City a free kick since the foul occurred at the edge of the box.

Joseph Akandwanaho was entrusted with the responsibility of the resultant free kick but he hit the wall before the ball was cleared away.
Vipers were dealt a huge blow as Bright Anukani went off with an injury in the 35th minute and his place was taken by Marvin Youngman.
Leo Neiva later brought on Abdul Lumala and Rodriguez Shamamba for Salem Ekbad and Abubaker Lawal in the 65th minute.
Wasswa Bbosa made one substitute as debutant Pius Kaggwa paved way for Jamie Nvule Kisitu around the hour mark.
Hussein Mwanje had an attempt to break the deadlock for the home side but his effort was blocked by Livingstone Mulondo in the 70th minute.
Vipers brought on Martin Kizza and left back Isa Mubiru for Yunus Sentamu and Youngman in the 85th minute.
Vipers now sit 3rd on the table with seven points from three games while the Ankole Lions sit 12th with two points.
The Venoms will host Villa in their next game on 20th October while Mbarara City will visit Busoga United on 19th October.
