MBARARA CITY vs KCCA FC: Title chase visit relegation fight

Morley Byekwaso’s men have their work cut out, anything less than victory will see them fall off the title chase following Vipers’ comfortable 3-1 victory over Arua Hill last evening at Kitende.

They visit a Mbarara city side hungry for results after going six league matches without tasting victory. They last won a game in December against Onduparaka.

Mbarara city are languishing in the relegation zone with only 15 points from 16 games. They sit 13th on the log

KCCA despite their recent recovery, they have also been undergoing a purple patch having won only twice in their recent five matches including a slim 1-0 victory over Mbarara city.

Completing a double over this evening’s opponents will help them keep leaders Vipers in check and cutting the gap to just a single point.

If they complete the feat, KCCA will have beaten Mbarara city for the first time in their four visits to Mbarara .

The last nine meetings have however been dominated by KCCA with three wins, Mbarara have won once and five times have ended in draws.

The hosts will be without midfielders Bebe Swalik and Karim Ramathan.

Captain Solomon Okwalinga recovers in time to face his former paymasters.

For KCCA FC, the game comes to early for utility man Denis Iguma who got injured in the rescheduled stalemate with Onduparaka at Bombo.

Peter Magambo will also have to wait for future engagements.
