Midfielder Amuli Mukasa denies joining Jinja North, opts for SC Villa

Kiyinda Boys attacking midfielder Amuli Mukasa has made a shocking revelation on live TV after denying that he hasn’t signed with any team and he is still attached to Kiyinda Boys.

On July 3rd this month, Mukasa was unveiled by Big League side Jinja North FC on a two year contract and he also expressed delight at joining the Jinja based side.

“I am humbled to be joining Jinja North United Football Club. Football is a job that needs hard-working and team-work. Together with my new family members, we shall achieve the ultimate task of promoting the club to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.”

However, while appearing on a live broadcast of this Sunday’s Masaza cup games at BBS Terefayina, Mukasa told the hosting panel that his biggest dream in Ugandan football is playing for record champions SC Villa and it may soon come to fruition after beginning negotiations with them.

“My dream has always been playing for SC Villa and I believe one day I will play for them.”

Show host Francis Ssebunya reminded him that he has just signed for Jinja North but the 2022 Masaza Cup top scorer quickly told him that,

“Whereas there was some negotiations with Jinja North FC, we did not conclude on anything and I am looking forward to other deals and Villa is my priority “

Jinja North have also signed veteran midfielder Lawrence Ndugga, striker Tonny Odur and they will be coached by former Mbarara City coach Sadiq Sempigi.
