Mike Mutebi parts ways with AS Kigali


Rwandan side AS Kigali has parted ways with Ugandans head coach Mike Hilary Mutebi and his assistant Jackson Mayanja.

The duo joined the club in January 2022 and signed employment contracts of two years each.

Mutebi and his fellow countryman have immediately been replaced by Cassa Mbugo formerly of AFC Leopards on interim basis until the end of the season.

Their sacking comes a day after As Kigali suffering a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Rayan Sport.

They leave the club in fifth with 37 points collected from the 24 games.

AS Kigali was founded in 1994 and host their games from Kigali Stadium Nyamirambo.

They have won the Rwandan Cup two times as well as the Rwandan Super Cup also twice
