More foreign based players join Cranes World Cup Qualifiers’ Camp in Morocco

Uganda Cranes World Cup Qualifiers’ camp in Morocco has been boosted by the arrival of three foreign based players.

Goalkeepers Salim Omar Magoola (Richards Bay) and Isima Watenga (Golden Arrow) joined the camp on Tuesday evening.

Defender Halidi Lwaliwa who features for North Macedonia’s FK Bregalnica Štip joined the team last night.

Express FC midfielder Ramsey Kawooya who has been in fine form for his club is expected to join the team later today evening.

The other foreign based players who earlier joined the camp are captain Khalid Aucho, Fahad Bayo, Rogers Mato, Richard Basangwa, Bevis Mugabi, Abdu Azizi Kayondo, William Kizito Luwaga and Elvis Bwomono.

Under the stewardship of Belgian tactician Paul Joseph Put, the Cranes will have a single training session today in the evening at Berkane FC training facility.

Uganda will begin their 2026 World Cup Qualification campaign against Guinea on Friday 17th November before facing Somalia on 21st of the same month.
