Moses Al Sayeed Lubega elected as new USPA President

Moses Al Sayeed Lubega has been elected as the new Uganda Sports Press Association (USPA) President for the 2022/2024 term.

The development was confirmed at the elective assembly that was held at Copper Chimney Restaurant in Lugogo on Saturday, November 26th.

Lubega garnered 36 votes to beat his Leone Ssenyange who had 12 votes at the election presided over by Elijah Njawuzi an administrator at the Uganda Olympic Committee.

Lubega is the director of Animus media replaces Patrick Kanyomozi who four year tenure came to an end. Lubega also worked at Next Media Services for six years (2013 to 2019

Meanwhile, Clive Kyazze a Journalist with Sanyu F.M is secretary general while Solomon Ssaka (Next Media Group) is organizing secretary for another term in office.

Vision Group’s Laurian Lubuulwa has retained his position as Treasurer.

Lubuulwa served in the same capacity during Kanyomozi’s reign and was also unopposed after his challenger Francisco Bwambale was disqualified.

The old USPA executive will officially hand over to the new one at the next assembly.
