With 11 games left on the fixture, Express’ hopes of retaining the Uganda premier league appear to have varnished in thin air after the Red Eagels have failed to win a single game in 5 outings.

They have only managed one win in the whole second round, a 2-0 against relegation bound Tooro United.

Following an impressive performance against KCCA FC at Wankulukuku, they hoped to return to winning ways when facing a Gaddafi side that they beat 1-0 in the first round.

Surprisingly, they fell to an early Paul Musamali free kick in the 15th minute. The veteran defender curled home a superb shot above the wall which Otim couldn’t deal with.

Moments later, the Red Eagles survived falling behind by two goals when Murushid Juuko blocked Richard Basangwa inside the forbidden area.

The referee pointed to the spot but Umaru Kyeyune failed to convert the resultant penalty.

As the clock ticked down, substitute Charles Musiige pounced on a perfectly weighed cross from Joseph Akandwanaho to head home the equaliser past a helpless Paul Mujampwani.

1-1 is how the game ended and the two sides shared the spoils.

None of the two sides managed to move a place on the table.

Gaddafi remain 8th with 25 points as Express remain 6th with 30 points
