Muwanga replaces Shaban as Onduparaka captain

David GOMBE

Uganda Premier league side Onduparaka FC have named goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga as their new captain.

Muwanga replaces Muhammad Shaban who rejoined KCCA FC in the concluded transfer window.

The former Express and URA FC custodian joined the Caterpillars as a free agent last season and played a crucial role for the club to survive relegation.

Muwanga recently renewed his employment contract at the Arua based side for further year.

He will be assisted by Yakini Rashid, Ojara Denis Glosh and Asimwe Kenneth as the first, second and third assistants respectively.

Asiimwe joined the Arua based side from Packwach Youngsters in the previous transfer window.

Onduparaka will start the 2022/23 Uganda Premier League season against Muwanga’s former club URA FC on 1st October.
