Due to the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country, National Council of Sports has suspended the 2021 National Basketball league.
The development was confirmed in a statement released by NCS Secretary General Dr.Patrick Bernard Ogwel on Thursday to the Federation of Uganda Basketball Association reads,
“The main purpose of this letter is to inform you of this high rates of infection of the Covid-19 pandemic and the need for safety for all Ugandans.

“To direct you to suspend with immediate effect all planned fixtures games for the 2021 Basketball league currently on going in the country.”
Reads a statement signed by NCS Secretary General Ogwel.
