First half goals from Joseph Dhata and Rwothomio Cromwell secured a slot for NEC FC into this year’s final.

This was Dhata’s sixth goal in the Uganda Cup and 12th across all competitions.

BUL FC were the only former winners left in the competition and their exit means a new champion will be crowned this term.

Abbey Kikomeko’s side will now turn focus on the Uganda Premier league where they are currently at the summit with 49 points.

NEC now await the winner between Kitara FC or Pajule Lions who will face off in the return leg on Sunday.
