New comers NEC leave it late against Ndejje to maintain perfect winning start

NEC FC scored a late winning goal to edge Ndejje University 2-1 at Bombo barracks in the early kick off of match day of the FUFA Big League.

The big victory keeps NEC FC on top of the Big league table with nine points having won all their first three games.

The game saw NEC FC goalkeeper Brady Jeans Wokorach facing his former paymasters, a side he captained last season.

NEC however missed the services of their inspirational skipper and forward Marvin Kavuma.

Ndejje took an early lead through Samuel Nsubuga who converted from the spot in the 5th minute of the game.

Former SC Villa forward Derrick Ssekiranda equalized for NEC when he tapped home from close range following a lapse in the Ndejje defense in the 38th minute.

With the game destined for a stalemate, second half substitute Stephen Nyainga scored a last grasp winner for the Bugolobi based newbies.

NEC currently lead the table, two points clear of Mbarara City and Kitara FC who also won their games against Lugazi and Jinja North United respectively.

NEC will host Mbarara City in their next game while Ndejje will seek redemption as they visit Kataka FC at Njeru.
