Express FC and BUL FC shared spoils in a 1-1 draw at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku on Tuesday.

BUL FC finished the game with nine men after defenders Benon Tahomera and Walter Ochora were sent off in the second period.

The table leaders started the better side and in the 7th minute defender Nicholas Mweere gave them the lead from a free kick.

Express FC goalkeeper Abdul Kimera failed to deal with Mweere’s low effort.

In added time of halftime, referee Asadu Semere awarded Express FC a penalty when Mweere was adjudged to have fouled Emmanuel Wasswa in the forbidden area but the replays on TV showed the defender only kicked the ball.

Isaac Wagoina was entrusted with the responsibility and levelled matters from the spot.

In the second half, Tahomera and Ochora were both sent off before assistant coach Simeon Masaba was also sent off for protesting Ssemere’s decisions.

BUL held on to a point that moves them to 25 points and five above second placed Vipers SC who face Kitara FC on Thursday.
