Charles Ayiekoh Lukula has named the final 25 player squad of Simba Queens that will compete in the upcoming CAF Women’s Champions League.

The squad has no place for Kenyan forward Jentrix Shikangwa who was recently acquired as a free agent from Turkish side Fatih Karagumruk.

Shikangwa’s exclusion comes after a delay in receiving her International Transfer Certificate (ITC) from the Turkish Federation.

The highly rated striker played for Vihiga Queens in the first edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League held in Morocco last year before going to Europe.

Simba Queens will take Morocco’s AS FAR, Zambian champions Green Buffaloes and Determ Girls of Liberia in Group A.

The tournament will kick off this Sunday 30th October and will be held in the cities of Rabat and Marrakech.

Ayiekoh will automatically become the first ever Ugandan to coach at the newly invented tournament.
