Interim boss James Odoch has made a bold claim that Express FC still have the ability to defend their title.
They are 10 points behind leaders Vipers SC and 7 adrift of second placed KCCA FC.
Despite the evidently heavy difference, a very optimistic Odoch told the club media that all his men need to do is beat Busoga United tomorrow and revive their chances of defending the league title.
“……First of all we are still in the title chase and we can still be champions and tomorrow’s game is very vital for us”

Odoch said.
“I know it will be a tough game because we always face it tough against teams from the Eastern region but we have done enough training and preparation for the tie”
The interim Express gaffer should however be reminded that Busoga United have an impressive record against the defending champions.
Out of the previous 11 meetings, Busoga have won 4 times against Express’ 3 and only twice has this tie ended in draw.
Busoga are battling for their lives and are facing the most realistic threat of being relegated for the first time since 2015 when they were elevated to the topflight.
They sit 15th on the log with 14 points and a win will elevate them up to 13th above Mbarara city and Solitilo Bright Stars.
The first round meeting yielded four goals and were all scored by Express FC, Busoga will be also seeking vengeance for the heavy defeat.
