Ugandan striker Francis Olaki was on the score sheet again as his side Extension Gunners got better of Sharp Shooting Stars in a hard fought 2-1 victory at the Lobatse Complex in Botswana Premier League.

Olaki found the back of the net as early as the 3rd minute to put the gunners.

Gift Maworere scored the leveller for Sharp Shooting Stars, cancelling out Olaki’s strike in the last minute of the 4 additional minutes of the first half.

With a minute to full time, first half substitute Elvis Bono Mosea stepped up to the occasion to steal the lead. Mosea had came on early in the game replacing an injured Ofentse Mmipi at the half hour mark.

Sharp Shooting Stars were reduced to ten men when also Zimbabwean center back Kelapile Ndlovu got matching orders.

Olaki’s early strike stretched his season tally to 7 league goals and his third in club’s previous 4 games. He previously scored against Flamengo Santos in a 1-1 draw and in a 2-1 win over Sankoyo Bush Bucks.

The win temporarily elevates Extension Gunners to the 6th spot of the 16-team log with 32 points garnered from 22 games played.

Ivan Ntege’s Township Rollers currently lie 2nd, tied on 46 points with table toppers Jwaneng Galaxy who have played a game more. Rollers will play Young Africans (Yanga) of Tanzania in the 2nd leg of the CAF Champions League final qualification round.
