Pius Bamwenge has announced his resignation from his role as Arua Hill Sports Club Chief Executive officer.
Early this week, FUFA announced that two clubs including Arua Hill and Busoga United were to play their next season in the Big league after failing to meet licensing requirements as per regulations.
Bamwenge who was only appointed to this job in January confirmed his decision via his Facebook and Twitter handles that,
“After a critical analysis, I have decided to resign from my position as the Chief Executive Officer of Arua Hill Sports Club.
“I pray that the almighty God guides you through all these challenges and I hope all will be well in my absence.
Thank you for the opportunity.”

Bamwenge replaced Tonny Afeti at the Arua based side earlier this year.
Arua Hill however have seven days to appeal FUFA’s decision and they stand a chance of being reinstated into the Uganda premier league fixture.
Arua Hill finished the 2022/23 Uganda Premier league campaign in 4th position.
It is also reported that their place in the preseason Pilsner Super 8 competition has been taken up by Soltilo Bright Stars.
