Police beat fellow Uganda Premier League side Gaddafi FC 1-0 in the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 32 encounter at Lugogo.
Juma Balinya scored the all important goal that settled the tie and sent Gaddafi packing.
Balinya slotted the ball into the net following a goal mouth scramble from a corner kick in the 70th minute.

Gaddafi had more chances of scoring right from the first half but fail to hit target.
Richard Basangwa had his header cleared off the line from a Yunus Sibira corner.
Umar Kyeyune failed to put the ball in the net from a brilliantly laid ball from Sibira.

Basangwa also had his hard shot come off the close bar in the closing 10 minutes of the game.
Police held on and joined the round of 16 list that already has UPDF, Wakiso Giants, Onduparaka, Kataka, Tipsa, Mbale Heroes, Iganga Young and Ndejje University.
