Sunrise FC 2-0 Espoir
Ugandan strikers Hood Kaweesa and Yafesi Mubiru were on the scoresheet for Moses Basena’s coached side Sunrise FC in a 2-0 victory over Espoir FC.
Both strikers joined the Nyagatare side at the start of the shortened Rwanda Primus League season.

Kaweesa last featured for Police FC in the Uganda Premier League season while Mubiru formely of Express, Bright Stars and Onduparaka, was Tooro United’s leading scorer last season.
Kaweesa opened the scoring in the 20th minute before his compatriot and striking partner doubled the lead in the 90th minute.
Pius Wangi, another Ugandan forward at Sunrise FC also started the game as a right winger while Sulaiman Majanjalo was not part of the match day squad.

The victory was Sunrise’s first in three games having previously lost to Marines FC (1-0) and drew 1-1 in the opener against Mukura Sports.
The Rwanda Primus League was divided into four groups due to the delayed season kick off because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The top two best teams in each of the groups will prevail to the knock out stages.
Sunrise sits third on the Group D table with four points and will play against Mukura Sports on Monday in their subsequent fixture.
