Senegal 1-0 Zimbabwe
Senegal needed a stoppage time penalty to edge Zimbabwe 1-0 in the Group B of the AFCON tournament at the Stade Kouekong Baffousam.
Sadio Mane flawlessly scored the winning goal for the Teranga Lions who came into the encounter without a bunch of players who tested positive for COVID-19.
Edouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly, Nampalys Mendy, Pape Sarr, Mame Thiam, Bamba Dieng and Famara Diedhiou were all missed.

Despite being dubbed as one of the pre tournament favorites, Senegal struggled to take control of the game.
Zimbabwe were on spot defensively but lacked a clinical touch upfront.
The match winning moment came in the added five minutes when defender Kelvin Madzongwe blocked a goal bound effort with his arm and a penalty was awarded to Senegal.
