IBV Vestmannaeyjar 1-2 Thor/Ka
Sandra Nabweteme came off the bench to inspire her new side Thor/Ka to a 2-1 comeback win over IBV Vestmannaeyjar in the Iceland Pepsi Max Women’s league on Tuesday night.
Nabweteme who recently joined Thor/Ka in March on a two-year deal marked her league debut with an assist.

The Crested Cranes striker replaced fellow debutant Colleen Kennedy in the 31st minute while trailing 1-0 and instantly made her presence felt.
She had her goal-bound effort saved by goalkeeper Audur Sveinbjornsdottir Scheving at the stroke of halftime.
20 minutes into the second half, Nabweteme forced Audur Sveinbjornsdottir Scheving into another save.

A minute later, the equalizer finally came when Nabweteme set up teammate Hulda Osk Jonsdottir who made it 1-1.
In the 80th minute, Nabweteme had another goal attempt but her effort was once again saved by the goalkeeper.
Thor/Ka completed a comeback in the 82nd minute through Karen Maria Sigurgeirsdottir who ultimately won all three points.
Nabweteme and teammates will play their second league game of the season on 11th May when they host UMF Selfoss.
