SC Villa want to make striker Ivan Bogere an immediate replacement for the already departed Bashir Mutanda, Swift Sports understands.
Sources reveal that the 16-time league champions have approached Bogere for negotiations of a possible move.
Bogere is a free agent since last year when he left Proline FC for greener pastures in the United Arab Emirates but a move to join Al Nasr Dubai didn’t materialize.

Uganda Premier League clubs KCCA FC, Vipers and Express FC have since then expressed interest in swooping the Hippos forward but initial negotiations emerged futile.

It should be noted that Spanish side Villarreal CF also invited Bogere for a trial stint when travel restrictions in the country are lifted.
After impressing in the Masaza Cup tournament with Buwekula, Bogere joined Proline in 2018 and went on to win the FUFA Big League golden boot with 15 goals.
He scored five goals in the CAF Confederation Cup as Proline fell short of the group stages last year, notably a hat trick against Masters Security Services at Lugogo.

Bogere represented Uganda in the 2019 U-20 CECAFA tournament and scored three goals for the Hippos.
