SC Villa part ways with head coach Koukouras

Sports Club Villa has part ways with Greek tactician Petros Koukouras. The development was confirmed in a document from the club President Omar Mandela

“Sports Club Villa has today amicably parted ways with its Head Coach.
Petros leaves with our sincerest appreciation for steering the Club through a very tough season and the Club wishes him well in his next endeavours.
“Sports Club Villa confirms Petros’ Assistant, Jackson Magera will temporarily take up the role of head coach.” Read the document

The Greek tactician was appointed by the Uganda Premier league record Champions at the start of the 2021/22 season.

He replaced Edward Kaziba who had served the club for two seasons.

Koukouras became the fifth foreign tactician to manage at the club the others are others are Englishman Geoff Hudson, Serbia’s Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic, Serbian Zivojnov Srdjan and Spanish Antonio Flores.

The UEFA A licensed has previously served at Apollon Kalamarias, Desn Youth Football Club in Guangdong (China), Real Madrid Foundation Clinics, Pacific Heroes and South Sudan National team.

Villa finished 12th on the Uganda Premier league table with 33 points last season as they survived relegation.
