Senegal 3-1 Equatorial Guinea
Senegal overcame Equatorial Guinea with a 3-1 win in the final quarter final of the ongoing AFCON played at Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo in Yaounde.

Goals from substitutes Cheikhou Kouyate and Ismaila Sarr and a first half strike by Famara Diedhiou ensured victory for Aliou Cisse’s coached team.
Diedhiou gave Senegal the lead after being set up by Sadio Mane in the 28th minute.
Moments into the second half, South African referee Victor Gomes awarded Equatorial Guinea a penalty following a hand ball call on Kalidou Koulibaly in the 51st minute.

The penalty decision was later rescinded following a review by the Video Assistant Referee.
Six minutes later, Equatorial Guinea equalized through Jannick Buyla who had a nice interplay with Pablo Ganet before putting the ball past goalkeeper Eduard Mendy.
At 1-1, Cisse brought on Kouyate and Sarr for Pape Gueye and Boulaye Dia respectively.
Kouyate came on in the 65th minute and used only three minutes to restore Senegal’s lead after capitalizing on a defensive howler by Equatorial Guinea defenders Saul Coco and Carlos Akapo.
Sarr, who was playing his first game of the tournament put the game to bed with a third one after being fed by left back Saliou Ciss in the 79th minute.

Senegal will face Burkina Faso in the first semi final on Wednesday while Cameroon will face Egypt on Thursday.
