She Corporate stage another come back to beat UCU 



UCU Lady Cardinals 1-2 She Corporate

She Corporate scored two goals in the final six minutes to beat UCU Lady Cardinals 2-1 in a Women Super League game played at UCU Mukono.

The game was between the top two teams in the league this season and prior to the clash, they were only separated by goal difference with UCU have a superior difference.

UCU took an early lead through defender Shadia Nankya who headed home perfectly from a perfect Hasifa Nassuna delivery in the 12th minute.

She Corporate dominated the proceedings and had a number of attempts but were just unlucky to convert any.

Phiona Nabbumba, Regina Nantege and Favour Nambatya all had clear cut chances but surprisingly squandered them and let the score line at 1-0 at halftime.

The second half also saw She Corporate pressing for a goal and it required a 86th minute penalty by Favour Nambatya to tie the game.

Nambatya flawlessly converted from the spot after Mercy Nabulobi’s handball in the penalty area.

Second half substitute Suzan Atim completed the comeback with a second goal after slotting the ball past the on rushing goalkeeper Hadija Nalongo in the second of the added three minutes.

This was the second time She Corporate were rallying from a goal down to win having beaten Lady Doves 2-1 in the similar style.

The win took them to the top of the table with 13 points, three clear of second placed UCU.

The other games played on the day saw Margret Kunihira score a halftime brace as Kampala Queens beat Rines SS 3-0 at Wakisha. Diana Nantongo scored in her own net for the third goal.

Olila High School and Tooro Queens played out a goalless draw at Buhinga. Tooro together and She Corporate are the only sides yet to taste defeat.

Kawempe Muslim will take on She Maroons at Luzira in the only game on Sunday at 2pm.
