She Cranes Versatile player Haniisha Muhammed joins English side

She Cranes Versatile player Haniisha Muhammed has joined English side Bartercard Surrey Storm.

Haniisha who can play as a Goalkeeper and shooter joins the English side from KCCA Netball team.

The development was confirmed on Thursday evening via the club website

“I am super excited to join Surrey Storm. It’s a fantastic opportunity for me to play at a very high level and I’m looking forward to working extremely hard on and off the court.” Haniisha told the club website

Her new head coach Mikki Austin said,

“We are delighted to announce the signing of Haniisha to Surrey Storm in 2024. A tenacious Ugandan She Crane, who showed her prowess at the Netball World Cup this summer. Haniisha will bring a dogged tenacity and ball winning ability to our defensive end which we look forward to working with an integrating into the Netball Superleague here in the UK.”

Peace Proscovia is the other Ugandan netball player at the English outfit.

Mary Cholhok Nuba and Stellah Oyella who are at Loughborough Lightning and Strathclyde Sirens netball club are the other Ugandans in Europe.

Haniisha was one of the outstanding performers for the She Cranes during the 2023 Netball World Cup in South Africa.
