Two time Masaza Cup tournament winners Ssingo have officially confirmed their technical team for the forthcoming 2024 tournament.
As earlier revealed by this website, Ssingo have named two time Masaza winning coach Simon Peter Mugerwa as their new head coach.
The new technical team was unveiled on Tuesday by Ssingo Ssaza county chief Owek mukwenda Deo Kagimu at their headquarters.
Mugerwa replaces Simon Ddungu alias Ddunga who was appointed as Buddu head coach.
Ironically the two coaches have exchanged destinations.
Mugerwa will be supported by Robert Ssekweyama who returns to Ssingo having previously served in the same capacity under Shafiq Bisaso.
Ssekweyama also works as Mugerwa’s assistant at FUFA Big League side Police FC were they are just two wins away from guiding the side back to the topflight division.
Nyanzi Bright is the second assistant while George Ssebuliba is the Goalkeeping coach.
Sam Ssekito will work as the fitness coach for the 2015 and 2018 Masaza Cup winners.
Mukasa Tonny Nsereko is the head of the named technical team at Ssingo.
The 2024 Masaza Cup tournament is due to kickoff on 22nd June with the Final slated for 26th October.
