Mukono champions St Julian and Teso region champions Amus College will battle for USSSA National boys’ football title in Sunday’s Final in Masaka.

Amus College eliminated defending champions St. Mary’s Boarding Secondary School Kitende 10-9 on penalties after a goalless draw in normal time to reach the final.

To reach the semifinal, Amus needed a petition win over Jinja Progressive Academy (JIPRA) who had eliminated them in the Quarterfinal stage.

The USSSA Disciplinary committee found out the JIPRA had used four ineligible players on their way to the semis. The players in question were Kibirango Eric, Mpasa Swabil, Jarieko James and Yasin Masamba.

Kitende will now face off with Bukedea Comprehensive in the third place playoff on Sunday, 5th May.

On the same day, Amus College and St Julian will battle for national glory.
