Stanbic Uganda Cup: FUFA postpones Super Eagles, Villa tie due to accident

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has postponed the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 64 tie between Super Eagles and SC Villa.

The fixture has been called off after a horrible accident suffered by SC Villa team on their way to Gulu on Saturday afternoon.

The nine time competition winners were to face off with Super Eagles at the Pece Stadium in Gulu on Sunday, 20th February

“It is on a sad note that we have received information about SC Villa players and officials being involved in a horrible accident involving the club bus on it’s way to Gulu for a Stanbic Uganda Cup match slated on Sunday, February 20 at Pece Stadium. ”

“In light of the above, we inform you that the above match has been postponed until further notice.”

Midfielder Sadam Ibrahim Juma got injuries in the accident

Players and officials who got Injuries in the accident have traveled back to Kampala for more treatment.

The new date for the fixture is expected to be revealed by the Federation. The winner of the tie will face Express FC on Sunday, 27th February at the Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.
