Stanbic Uganda Cup: Kiyinda Boys stun Gaddafi as Kisugu United eliminate Maroons

Regional League sides Kisugu United and Kiyinda Boys progressed to the Round of 32 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup after eliminating Uganda Premier League sides Maroons and Gaddafi at the round of 64 respectively.

At Ssaza Grounds in Mityana, Kiyinda Boys stunned Gaddafi 1-0 courtesy of a late Ssewali Joseph strike.

Kisugu Utd powered past Maroons 2-1 at Coffee Grounds in Bugolobi, thanks to goals from Rogers Tabule and Matovu Bob.

Blacks Power were the only Uganda Premier league side that prevailed to the round of 32 in the games played on Thursday. Hussein Mbalangu coached side beat Bukedea Central at Emokori Grounds in Bukedea.

In the other game played on Thursday, Gorilla Highland eliminated Big League side Kataka following a 2-0 win at Mashaka Play Ground in Kisoro.

Kisugu United, Kiyinda Boys, Gorilla Highland, and Blacks Power join SC Villa, Police, Vipers, BUL, Kitara, Ndejje University, Jinja North United, Admin, Junior Eagles, Pajule Lions, and Blue Stars into the Round of 32.
