STANBIC UGANDA CUP; Maroons sail past Ndejje University to seal last eight place

Maroons FC has progressed to the quarter finals of the 48th edition of the Stanbic Uganda Cup after an impressive 2-0 victory against fellow big league side Ndejje University at Luzira.

Fred Amaku scored the first for the Prison Warders in the 24th minute from the spot before Norman Odipio extended their lead in the 65th minute from long range giving his side a well deserved victory.

Maroons FC is the only FUFA Big League that has made it to this editions quarter finals.

They join UPL sides Vipers SC, Mbarara City, Wakiso Giants, BUL FC, plus regional league entities Booma FC and Mbale Heroes FC

The final slot will be taken by either Onduparaka FC or SC Villa who will play on Sunday 3rd April at Greenlight Stadium in Arua.
