Steven Bogere set to return to Buddu

Two time Buganda Masaza Cup winners Buddu have agreed terms with Steven Bogere to take over as their head coach.

Swift Sports Uganda understands that Bogere has agreed to return to Buddu for the 2024 Masaza Cup tournament.

He will replace Simon Peter Mugerwa who part ways with Buddu at the end of the previous event after guiding them to the semifinals.

Bogere led Buddu to both the 2016 and 2021 Masaza Cup triumphs.

He has also previously served as coach at Simba, SC Villa, Victoria University ( now defunct), UPDF FC and Onduparaka.

Bogere is a former Uganda Cranes international and won 1989 CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup.

Bogere is a legend at SC Villa having been part of their greatest team that dominated Ugandan football in the early 90s. He also featured for Tobacco, Spear Motors and Nile FC.
