Azam FC 1-0 Simba SC
Simba SC suffered their first defeat of the season after falling 1-0 to rivals Azam FC at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
Zimbabwean striker Prince Dube scored the lone goal that made the difference between both sides.
Dube made a good run to the left and expertly curved the ball past Simba’s goalkeeper Aishi Manula in the 35th minute.

Azam were playing their first game after the sacking of their French coach Denis Lavagne following a string of unconvincing results.
This was also the first defeat for Simba’s stand in coach Juma Mgunda who has now managed a total of eight games since taking charge.
Defending champions Yanga currently lead the table with 17 points from seven games and remain the only unbeaten team in the league.

Yanga beat KMC 1-0 to Feisal Salum’s second half strike and stretched their unbeaten record to 44 league games.
