Simba Sports Club have intensified the pursuit for the long awaited signature of former Vipers striker Ceaser Manzoki Lobi.

The Tanzanian giants have tabled a three year contract for Manzoki who is expected to be a free agent next month.

Manzoki left Vipers at the start of season to join Chinese side Dalian Pro on a four month contract which is bound to expire on December 31st 2022.

He has featured in 10 games and scored two goals and assisted twice for Dalian Pro since joining the club about four months ago.

Simba are in dire need for a striker to relieve Moses Phiri off the goal scoring burden which John Bocco and Habib Kyombo have not been able to do.

Manzoki was top of the club’s wishlist since the start of the primary transfer window in July this year but the Dar es Salaam giants dithered when it came to transfer fees.

The Tanzanian giants have also expressed interest in re-signing Mozambican winger Luis Miquissone from Al Ahly and Burundi’s Saidi Ntibazonkiza.

Simba will face Manzoki’s former side Vipers in the CAF Champions League group stages alongside Raja Casablanca of Morocco and Guinea’s Horoya AC.

The former AS Vita striker left a mark in Uganda after guiding Vipers to their 2021/22 league title on top of emerging as the best player and golden boot winner in the campaign.
