TANZANIA: Wadada inspires Ihefu to first win of the season

Ihefu FC 2-0 Dodoma Jiji

Nicholas Wadada Wakiro put up a man of the match performance as his club Ihefu FC beat Dodoma Jiji 2-0 in the Tanzania Premier League at the Highland Estates Stadium in Mbarali.

The much needed result was Ihefu’s first victory of the season after seven games played.

Wadada who recently joined Ihefu from Azam FC, played an integral part in the victory and provided an assist for the second goal of the game.

In one of his relentless moves going forward, Wadada crossed perfectly for his former Azam teammate Obrey Chirwa who headed home the second goal in the 32nd minute.

Striker Jafari Kibaya scored the first goal of the game in the 20th minute.

Ugandan goalkeeper Cleo James Ssetuba who is also Wadada’s teammate, started on the bench.

Ihefu FC will return to action on Monday 24th October against Shafik Batambuze’s Singida Big Stars.
