URA FC and Tanzania’s Biashara are chasing the signature of BUL FC head coach Alex Isabirye, Swift Sports has learnt.

URA FC have had an unconvincing start to the season despite being one of the favourites to contend for the league title.

Swift Sports understands they are in search for a coach to turn their fortunes around and Isabirye has been identified as an ideal man for the job.

However, Tanzania’s Biashara United are also in pursuit for his signature as they search for a new coach following the departure of Kenyan tactician Patrick Odhiambo.

Biashara represented Tanzania in this season’s CAF Confederation Cup but they are currently tottering on the wrong end of the league table sitting second from bottom with nine points from 11 matches.

Biashara is home to Ugandans Cleo Ssetuba (goalkeeper) and forwards Matthew Odong Tayo and Ambrose Awio.

It should be noted that Isabirye has in the past coached at URA FC twice and guided the Tax Collectors to their last title.

He also coached SC Victoria University, Soana, Kyetume, Nyamityobora FC, Kirinya Jinja SS and also had a stint with Somali giants Horseed FC.

BUL finished the first round with sitting fourth with 26 points from 15 games.
