Following the recommendation of Mbwana Samatta, Kelvin held trials at the club in 2019 and had to wait until his 18th birthday to sign his first professional contract.
Kelvin hopes to follow Samatta’s footsteps since the Taifa Stars captain featured for Genk between 2016-2020 before joining Aston Villa in the Premier League.
The budding striker was the Most Valuable Player (MVP) as well as the top scorer during the CECAFA U-20 tournament that was held in Uganda in 2019.
In fact, he was named in Tanzania’s provisional squad for the 2019 AFCON but couldn’t make the cut.

KRC Genk is also in talks with Vipers SC over the signing of midfielder Bobosi Byaruhanga while U-20 striker Derrick Kakooza has already joined Anderlecht on a five year deal.
